The Prints of Hodaka Yoshida
From the Collection of Margaret and Eugene Skibbe
Transition C: Recollection Prints 1984-91. Again Hodaka is searching for new subject matter and a new way to express that energy deep in human life. He tries new alignments of houses, or he features detritus or fragments of previous objects, or he uses bolder more expressionistic colors. He is looking for a new point of departure for his artistic vision. Out of some 40 prints, perhaps this one best exemplifies the penultimate stage in his work.
